Sleeping tent

Sleeping Tents

On every OMSHA Travel trek, you’ll rest each night in a spacious, weatherproof sleeping tent designed for comfort in the Himalayas. Our two-person tents are sturdy, wind- and rain-resistant, and well-ventilated to keep you dry and comfortable in all conditions. For those who prefer privacy, single tents can be arranged upon request. Each tent is supplied with a thick sleeping mat for insulation from the cold ground, and sleeping bags can be provided if you don’t bring your own. Your tent becomes your personal retreat after a long day on the trail—a warm, cozy space where you can unwind, store your gear, and drift off under the stars of Bhutan’s high mountain skies.

Dining tent

Dining Tents

A dining tent is a portable, weather-resistant tent set up at camp each day to serve as a clean and comfortable space for trekkers to eat, relax, and socialize. It is typically large enough to accommodate the entire trekking group, with tables and chairs arranged inside. Whether sipping hot tea in the morning or enjoying a hearty dinner after a long ascent, the dining tent becomes a cherished part of the journey.

Kitchen Tent

Dining Kitchen Tent

Behind every successful trekking adventure in Bhutan lies a hardworking kitchen crew operating from a dedicated trekking kitchen tent. This mobile cooking station is where fresh meals are prepared daily, even in the most remote and high-altitude locations. A trekking kitchen tent is a specialized portable tent used by the trekking support team to cook meals during the journey. It is usually set up close to the dining and sleeping tents and serves as the central hub for all food preparation.

Rubber Mats

Rubber Mats

Rubber mats play a simple but essential role in enhancing comfort and hygiene during trekking expeditions in Bhutan. These durable mats are typically placed inside sleeping tents to provide a clean, dry, and insulated surface.

inflatable mat

Inflatable Air Mats

When trekking through Bhutan’s mountains, a good night’s sleep is essential for the next day’s journey. Inflatable air mats provide the comfort and insulation needed to rest well, even on rocky or uneven terrain. Compact, lightweight, and easy to use, these mats are a must-have for multi-day treks. Inflatable air mats are lightweight sleeping pads filled with air to create a cushioned surface between the sleeper and the ground. They are designed to be compact when deflated, making them easy to pack and carry. After long hours of hiking, your body needs quality rest. Inflatable air mats help trekkers sleep better by improving comfort and warmth inside the sleeping tent. Whether you're camping in a forest or high up in alpine meadows, these mats make the difference between a restless night and a refreshing one.

Hot Water Rubber Bags

Hot Water Rubber Bags

Trekking in Bhutan often takes you through high-altitude regions where nights can be chilly, even in the summer months. A hot water rubber bag is a simple yet effective way to stay warm and comfortable inside your sleeping bag after a long day on the trail. A hot water rubber bag is a thick, flexible bottle made of heat-resistant rubber. It is filled with hot water before bedtime and placed inside the sleeping bag to provide warmth throughout the night.

Sleeping Bags

Sleeping Bag

A high-quality sleeping bag is one of the most essential pieces of gear on any trekking adventure in Bhutan. It protects you from the cold, ensures restful sleep, and keeps your energy up for the next day's hike. A sleeping bag is an insulated, zippered blanket designed for sleeping outdoors. It traps body heat and provides warmth even when temperatures drop significantly at night. Many tour operators in Bhutan provide sleeping bags for guests, but you can also bring your own if you prefer. It’s best to confirm in advance.

Table and chairs

Table and Chairs

Even in the remote mountains of Bhutan, comfort and convenience are part of the trekking experience. Folding tables and chairs are set up at each campsite to create a proper dining area where trekkers can relax and enjoy meals together. These are lightweight, foldable, and durable pieces of camp furniture that are easy to carry and quick to assemble. Designed for outdoor use, they provide a clean and stable setup for dining or resting after a long day of hiking. After walking for hours, being able to sit on a proper chair and eat at a table — rather than on the ground — greatly improves comfort. It creates a sense of normalcy and adds to the overall enjoyment of the trekking experience. These small comforts make a big difference, especially in Bhutan’s wild, beautiful, and often rugged terrain.

Fleece Sleeping bag Inner

Sleeping Bag Liners

A sleeping bag liner is a lightweight fabric insert that fits inside your sleeping bag. Often overlooked, it adds an extra layer of warmth and hygiene — making it a valuable companion on trekking adventures in Bhutan. A sleeping bag liner is a thin, protective layer made from cotton, silk, fleece, or synthetic materials. It’s shaped like a sleeping bag and is used inside the main sleeping bag for added comfort and cleanliness. Whether you’re camping in the highlands or staying in simple guesthouses, a sleeping bag liner gives you peace of mind and an extra layer of warmth. It’s especially appreciated on treks like the Snowman, Laya-Gasa, or Jomolhari where temperatures can drop at night.
