Gasa Dzong, also known as Tashi Thongmon Dzong, is a historic fortress and monastery located in the Gasa District of Bhutan. It serves as an important cultural and administrative center in the region. Gasa Dzong was built in the 17th century by Tenzin Drukdra, the second Druk Desi (secular ruler) of Bhutan, under the direction of Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal, the founder of Bhutan. The dzong played a crucial role in defending the region against invasions.
