Ngang Lhakhang

Ngang Lhakhang, also known as the Swan Temple, is a small and historically significant Buddhist temple in the Choekhor Valley of Bumthang, central Bhutan. It is associated with the 16th-century Tibetan saint Dorje Lingpa, one of the great treasure revealers (tertons) of Bhutan and Tibet.

Travel tip

Ngang Lhakhang is particularly suitable for travelers who want to experience Bumthang beyond the main tourist sights. Since it is a private temple, access and opening arrangements can vary, so it is best to coordinate the visit locally in advance.
