EXCELLENT Based on 138 reviews Posted on Lucy H8 May 2026Verified OMSHA was the best!!! We had the most fabulous time with our guide Sonam and driver Tashi! We were busy with several experiences every day, and had nice comfortable lodging every night. I loved our opportunities to see how paper is made, rice is roasted, mandelas are drawn with such minute perfect brush strokes, and overall how Bhutanese people live. This trip was full of learning. I especially loved how Gross National Happiness informs all things in Bhutan. I highly recommend OMSHA for travel in Bhutan! Posted on Barbara A3 May 2026Verified Best Bhutan Trip Omsha Travel is a terrific operator in Bhutan. I was well cared for and the driving was excellent. Even on hairy muddy roads I had full confidence in the driver. My guide was always there to explain and teach and share. Dreaming of an unforgettable journey through South Asia? A multi-country trip covering India, Nepal, and Bhutan offers an extraordinary blend of vibrant cultures, spiritual landscapes, Himalayan adventures, and ancient heritage. Whether you’re a cultural explorer, a trekking enthusiast, or a spiritual seeker, this trio of countries promises a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
In this blog, we guide you through the essentials of planning your India-Nepal-Bhutan trip, covering visas, transport, suggested routes, best time to visit, and more.
Why Combine India, Nepal & Bhutan in One Trip?
Each country offers something unique, yet they complement each other beautifully:
- India offers bustling cities, colorful festivals, and ancient temples.
- Nepal is famous for the Himalayas, spirituality, and trekking.
- Bhutan, the Land of the Thunder Dragon, offers untouched landscapes, Gross National Happiness, and deep-rooted Buddhist culture.
Combining them allows you to see South Asia from multiple perspectives—chaotic, serene, spiritual, and scenic.
Best Time to Travel
The ideal time to plan a combined trip is during the dry and pleasant months:
- October to April is perfect for India and Bhutan
- October to March is great for Nepal
- Avoid June–August due to monsoon season
If you’re interested in festivals, consider:
- Diwali (India) – October/November
- Dashain & Tihar (Nepal) – October
- Paro Tshechu or Thimphu Tshechu (Bhutan) – March/October.
Visa Information
India:
- e-Visa available for most nationalities (including US, UK, EU, Australia)

Nepal:
- Visa on arrival for most travelers at Kathmandu Airport
